Castle Douglas Fairtrade Group, with the help of a Castle Douglas High school Enterprise class, have put together a Directory.

The Food town now has a list of local businesses and shops who all stock or use Fairtrade products.This Directory ia available in a number of shops and premises throughout Castle Douglas. This , hopefully, will aid the Group in pushing towards Fairtrade status for Castle Douglas.

Liz Manson, secretary of the Group, is very happy with the finished publication, with Castle Douglas High school work being complemented and edited by Derek Carmichael, from Dumfries and Galloway Council. Liz adds, 'Making a Fairtrade Directory is a great way of giving residents and visitors to the town an easy way to find Fairtrade products.'
