Laura Bell reflects on her first six months as a memebr of the Scottish Youth Parliament.

'On the 6th and 7th of March I travelled to Coatbridge for a National sitting. At these sittings we take part in workshops and debates on a number of current topics, at this particular sitting it was 'young people and money'. Four of the MSYP's put forward a motion ,which was debated and then voted on.

'The sitting was a greta chance to meet other MSYP's. The next chance to do so will be in Livingstone in June.

'Being a member of the Scottish Youth Parliament is a great opportunity to find out about the issues concerning young people that might not have been discussed before. I would encourage anybody to get involved in this venture.'
