Duke Of Edinburgh award begins again in the new year, in the school libary at lunch time taken by Mrs Cawood.

This program is split into 3 different awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Bronze- the bronze program is made up of 4 sections, voulunteering, physical, skills and expedition. A minimum of 3 months for each section. you need to be at least 14 to entry the bronze award. You also need to spend an extra of 3 months on voulunteering, physical or skills. for the expedition you need to plan train and do a 2 day, 1 night expedition.

Silver- you need to be atleast 15 to entry. with the same sections as the bronze but these must be a minimum of 6 months on voulunteering and a minimum of 6 months on either physical or skills and 3 months on the other and you need to plan, train and do a 3 day, 2 night expedition.

Gold- you need to be at least 16 to entry. you'll spent 12 months on voulunteering and 12months on either physical or skills and 6 months on the other. you need to plan, train and do a 4day,3night expidition.
